GoPro (GPRO) might add a 360-degree camera to its lineup of boxy action cameras following its purchase of French company Kolor. San Mateo, Calif.-based GoPro late Tuesday announced an agreement to acquire Kolor, a leader in virtual reality and spherical media technology, for an undisclosed sum. Kolor, based in Savoie, France, develops technology to combine multiple photographs or videos to produce high-resolution panoramic or 360-degree content that can be viewed on mobile devices, the Web or virtual reality systems.
