Google (GOOGL) reportedly is negotiating to buy live-streaming video service Twitch for $1 billion, various media outlets are reporting. San Francisco-based Twitch, which was launched in June 2011, is a video platform and community for video-game fans. More than 45 million monthly users gather on Twitch to broadcast, watch and chat about gaming. Twitch streams both live and archived video of game play. Twitch would make a good fit with Google’s Scalper1 News
