Facebook, Alphabet Dominate U.S. Smartphone App Field

Facebook (FB) and Alphabet (GOOGL) apps are dominant on smartphones in the U.S. Several Facebook- and Alphabet-owned apps are in the top 15, according to technology metrics company comScore. Among U.S. smartphone users 18 years or older, 77% had the Facebook app at the end of November, making it No. 1, while Alphabet’s YouTube followed at 61%.
