Premium audio technology firm DTS (DTSI) turned up the volume on its stock Wednesday when it announced plans to acquire iBiquity Digital, the company behind HD Radio. Calabasas, Calif.-based DTS said that it will pay about $172 million for iBiquity, developer of the digital AM-FM audio and data broadcasting standard. DTS will finance the transaction with cash on hand and debt. It expects the transaction to close later this year, pending customary Scalper1 News
