A widening speed gap between phone companies’ DSL Internet services and cable-provided broadband lies behind continued market share gains by Comcast (CMCSA) and other cable firms, says a Federal Communications Commission report. The FCC on Wednesday released its fifth “Measuring Broadband America” report. One item in the report that might surprise some: “Actual speeds experienced by most ISPs’ subscribers are close to or exceed advertised speeds.” Scalper1 News
