Dish Loses Subscribers, But Spectrum Outcome Matters More

Dish Network (DISH) early Monday said it had a net loss of 134,000 subscribers in Q1, but earnings beat analyst views as contract disputes with content providers shaved programming costs. Dish said it earned 76 cents per share in Q1 as revenue rose 3.6% to $3.72 billion, missing estimates. Analysts had modeled EPS of 40 cents and revenue of $3.74 billion.
