Connected Cars Get Going In NYC, Florida, Wyoming

Where are connected cars going? New York City, Wyoming and Tampa, Fla. The U.S. Department of Transportation on Monday announced up to $42 million in funding for next-generation connected vehicle technologies for pilot programs in those places. The technology efforts cover infrastructure and in-vehicle technology, in which the sharing of information about where vehicles are can potentially reduce congestion, greenhouse-gas emissions and accidents.
