Sales of commercial-grade unmanned aerial vehicles, or drones, are set to soar over the next 10 years, driven by applications such as filmmaking, mapping, prospecting and disaster relief. Market research firm Tractica predicts that worldwide shipments of commercial drones will increase from 80,000 units to nearly 2.7 million units in 2025.
