Speculation that Comcast (CMCSA) will sell wireless services amid an industry price war is premature, says a Jefferies analyst. Comcast would be taking on AT&T (T), Verizon Communications (VZ), T-Mobile (TMUS) and Sprint (S). “It is hard to imagine why Comcast would want to be the fifth player, unless there was a clear path to industry consolidation, which is unthinkable under the current (Obama) regulatory regime,” said Mike McCormack, a Scalper1 News
