China Electric Car Maker Kandi Sputters In Q1 As Growth Slows

Shares of Chinese electric car maker Kandi Technologies (KNDI) were down 7% in morning trading Monday after the company posted a smaller Q1 revenue gain than in the prior quarter and slim profit for its EV joint venture. Revenue rose 9% from the year-earlier quarter to $43.8 million and net income of 7 cents per share, up 108%, Kandi said in its report before the market open. In Q4, year-over-year revenue soared 80%.
