Cheetah Mobile Buys MobPartner In $58 Million Deal

China-based Cheetah Mobile (CMCM) has pushed into advertising, acquiring MobPartner in a $58 million cash and stock deal. MobPartner, founded in France, will become a subsidiary, said Beijing-based Cheetah. The mobile ad industry has been consolidating, with Google (GOOGL) reportedly in talks to acquire India’s InMobi.
