Chipmaker Cavium and supercomputer maker Cray are collaborating to determine if Cavium’s chips can be used as efficient processing technologies for supercomputers. The two companies issued the announcement in a press release on Monday from the 2014 Supercomputing Conference in New Orleans. “Given Cray’s extensive experience from demanding customers and markets, we consider this announcement as significant at multiple levels,” William Blair analyst Scalper1 News
