Canadian Solar (CSIQ) early Thursday became the latest solar energy company to announce plans to form an asset-holding yield company, sending shares rising despite a Q4 earnings miss. The Ontario-based company says that increased solar-module shipments led to an 84% year-over-year jump in revenue, to $956 million. Earnings per share excluding items jumped 228% to $1.28.
