Broadcaster, FCC Deal Seen Possible On Auction Rules

TV broadcasters and the Federal Communications Commission might yet forge a deal to enable a government auction of radio spectrum for wireless services to advance despite a lawsuit filed by broadcasters on Monday, says Guggenheim Partners. A delay in the auction, now planned for late 2015, would be a setback for AT&T (T), Verizon Communications (VZ), Sprint (S) and T-Mobile US (TMUS), as well as smaller wireless firms.
