Blue Origin Takes Flight With Launch Of Spacecraft

Blue Origin, the commercial space company created by Amazon.com (AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos, took to the skies with the first launch of its new space vehicle. The launch occurred Wednesday from a test flight center in west Texas, reaching a speed of Mach 3 and a planned sub-orbital altitude of 307,000 feet, or 58 miles.
