T he video game industry returned to growth in April, fueled by violent action games led by “Mortal Kombat X.” The top three best-selling games at U.S. retail last month were rated M for Mature, with content considered suitable for players ages 17 and up. “Mortal Kombat X” from Time Warner (TWX) unit Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment was the No. 1 game in April. It’s the latest in the long-running fight-to-the-death game series. “Mortal Kombat X” features “blood and gore, intense violence and strong language,” according to the Entertainment Software Rating Board. It’s available for Sony ‘s (SNE) PlayStation 4 and Microsoft ‘s (MSFT) Xbox One and Windows PCs. Scalper1 News
