AT&T Sells Wireline Assets To Frontier Communications

Frontier Communications (FTR) stock jumped Tuesday after the local phone company announced a deal to buy AT&T’s (T) wireline assets in Connecticut for $2 billion in cash. AT&T was down a fraction in early trading in the stock market today. Shares of Frontier, which provides local phone service in mostly rural areas of 27 states, were up 8%.
