Apple Supplier Qorvo To Replace Lorillard In S&P 500

Apple (AAPL) and Samsung chip supplier Qorvo (QRVO) will replace tobacco company Lorillard in the S&P 500 after the market close Thursday. Lorillard (LO) is being acquired by Reynolds American in a $25 billion deal expected to be completed Friday. Greensboro, N.C.-based Qorvo, which supplies chips for Apple iPhones, as well as defense, aerospace, infrastructure and other applications, was formed earlier this year by the $1.6 billion merger of RF Scalper1 News
