Speculation that Apple’s (AAPL) highly anticipated mobile payments system will feature NFC (near-field communications) technology in the upcoming iPhone 6 could lift shares of NXP Semiconductors (NXPI), a maker of NFC chips. Morgan Stanley on Tuesday published a report stating that NXP is “well-positioned to participate in Apple’s mobile payments ecosystem” and could garner $250 million in 2015 sales from Apple’s iPhone 6.
