Apple iWatch faces hesitant consumer market

As Apple prepares to enter the wearable device market, it faces big hurdles to consumer adoption of such devices. A recent survey of consumers in the U.S. and U.K. by CCS Insight revealed that awareness of wearable devices is high, but ownership is low. Many consumers indicated that they didn’t see the need for a smartwatch or were put off by high prices. The CCS survey found that 75% of respondents are aware of smartwatches and fitness bands.
