The Apple (AAPL) iPhone claimed the top share of mobile sales and visits over the holiday season as consumers stepped up the pace of spending online and vastly increased their use of smartphones, according to a report out Tuesday. Consumers spent $83 billion online during the 2015 holiday season — from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31 — up 12.7% from 2014, according to data from Adobe Digital Index, released by Adobe Systems (ADBE) .
