Apple (AAPL) appears to be revving up a new push into robotic production technology for iPhones, says Canaccord Genuity, with potential upside for Japan-based Fanuc as well as Cognex (CGNX). A planned hike in Apple’s capital spending for manufacturing technology bodes well for machine vision and automation suppliers, says Bobby Burleson, a Canaccord Genuity analyst, in a research report Thursday.
