Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone sales prospects are looking up thanks to the rise of smartphone upgrade plans and continued momentum in China, according to separate research reports from two Wall Street analysts. The frequency at which iPhone owners upgrade to new handsets could shrink to 15 months on average from the current 22 months as annual upgrade programs become the standard, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster said in a report Monday.
