BullishApple (AAPL) analyst Brian White of Cantor Fitzgerald on Thursday shot down concerns that the iPhone 6 Plus bends easily. In a report titled “Let’s Get Real!,” White said reports that the aluminum-bodied iPhone 6 Plus will bend while in your front or back pocket are overblown. “Described in the media as ‘bendgate,’ we believe the concern around an average person bending an iPhone 6 Plus with typical everyday use is irrational,” White said. He said the new iPhone 6 Plus is “very durable” and that the viral online video by tech blogger Lewis Hilsenteger only demonstrated it could be bent by applying “excessive force.” The “bendgate” reports have been driven by media hype, White said.
