Apple (AAPL) on Monday turned the ignition on CarPlay, a new in-dash version of its mobile platform that will link up to drivers’ and passengers’ iPhones. The new service is set to be available in some 2014-model cars and will allow iPhone users to manage music, GPS, phone calls and texts via in-dashboard touchscreens, steering-wheel buttons and voice controls. It’ll be a “safer and more fun way to use iPhone in the car,” Apple said in a Monday Scalper1 News
