Angie’s List (ANGI) announced Friday that it laid off 97 sales employees, just over 5% of its total workforce, in response to weak results in areas such as its Big Deals unit. The cuts were revealed in a filing with the SEC, in which Angie’s List said it had reduced its sales force as part of its “focus on improving sales force performance and productivity.” While sales positions were eliminated throughout the company, about 25% came from its Big Scalper1 News
