Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba (BABA) said late Friday it has received a request from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for more information about its interactions with a Chinese regulator, presumably about fake goods sold on its websites. Alibaba issued a statement saying that the SEC asked for “background facts and other information related to our interaction with one of our Chinese regulators, the SAIC, and related matters.” The SEC Scalper1 News
