The U.S. Trade Representative office is keeping Alibaba off its annual list of companies notorious for facilitating the sale of pirated and counterfeit goods, but it warned that more must be done, a report issued Thursday said. Alibaba Group’s consumer-to-consumer platform Taobao.com and business-to-business site Alibaba.com were first identified by the USTR in 2008 for facilitating the sale of counterfeit and pirated items.
