Alibaba, JD.com Gear Up For China’s Top Shopping Day

Gearing up for the biggest online shopping day in China, Nov. 11, e-commerce giant Alibaba (BABA) on Monday outlined a multi-retail strategy to enhance sales. Last year, Alibaba managed $9.3 billion in sales across its multiple e-commerce platforms for the 24-hour event it refers to as its “11.11 Shopping Festival.” Alibaba said more than 180,000 stores across 333 cities will participate in the event, along with more than 1,000 retail brands.
