American International Group (AIG) announced Wednesday that it has received approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for commercial use. The insurance giant says it plans to use the drones to conduct inspections for risk assessment, risk management, loss control and surety performance for customers in the U.S. AIG shares edged up 1.2% to 55.66 in the stock market today.
